2013 Flew, 2014 Is The New

A really big thanks to the Almighty God, because of His blessings I can passed the beautiful year 2013. Unconsciously, 2013 has passed extremely fast. It brought me a bunch of memories to be remembered, a lot of experiences to be learned, and a lot of things to be thanked. There are a lot of things worth to be fight for. Several failure happened, but covered with some succeed. Tears, sad, disappointment, discord, and any other sadness came continuously, but the laugh, love, smile, and happiness healed everything. 2013 flew, 2014 is the new. Many hopes, dreams, wants, and wishes will be hang over the year 2014. So these things are what I've done, whether it well or not.

What things went well?

• Youth Exchange and Study’s candidate

As the candidate of the Youth Exchange and Study that will go to USA, I am very thankful for the chance to be selected. With around 6 steps selection and National Selection, the committee announced the candidates in December. Thanks for all peoples who guided me to passed these tight selection. I’m very happy to be the part of AFS/YES family. Go to overseas is one of my big dream, and the chance to be selected might not come to me if I don’t school in here, SMAN 10 Malang. Once again, thanks for all people who always help me to passed the selection.

•        My sweet 16th birthday

I want to say thanks a lot to the peoples who have participated in my 16th birthday party. It sounds a common birthday that celebrated by someone. For me, it was a best birthday ever. Thanks a lot to my beloved Dolphin House, for your nice Durian essence that made me mad all day long. Thanks to my mates, Yulan, Ifa, and Rahma who made such a nice cake and created video that made me almost cry.

•       Celebrated my mom & my brother’s birthday

Being my mother’s daughter is the best thing in my life that worth to be thanked for. Thanks Mom, you have been caring me along my life. Fortunately, my mom’s birthday was close enough with my brother’s. So, as my gift to them, I bought them a tart cake when my family visited me. I couldn't give them a very luxury thing, but at least I gave them a nice tart cake that made them smile and happy enough.

•       Being the 10 best rank of X grader

I knew that it just an ordinary thing, being the 10 best rank of X grader. But for me, it was an awesome achievement in this school. As we you that my friends is just smarter than me, having a tremendous achievement than me, and much diligent than me. At least, I can show to my surrounding that I can do what I have to do. As the evidence, I got the 9^th parallel rank of the X grader over the 67 students.

•       Won the Class Expression Day in X-9

As the 10 grader, we felt that we would not win any competition in the school. But with our hardworking, we can show to the whole school that our class can be the winner of the Class Expression Day. We made a science museum that the dinosaurs stood up in the middle of our classroom. We also made such a planetarium with some planets ticked on the classroom’s wall. Because of that, we won the competition and got some gifts. We ate the buto’s burger and amanda brownies together. That was a nice closing of the academic year.

What things didn't go so well?

• My short haircut

I never imagined that my hair would be this short. I had a haircut, and my hair’s long was just 2 cm under my ears. My friends and I should cut our hair because we are Flag Raiser Squad, and we will join a competition. Personally, I thought it was my nightmare. How pity I am.

•       Mading 3D Competition

It was the worst competition ever. How could this happened to us? Yulan, Ifa, Rahma and I want to join the Mading 3D Competition. We have planned the concept as good as we could make. The theme was about technology’s prospect, we have planned everything carefully. We brought the equipment as we planned in the concept. Suddenly, one of us changed the concept the day before the D-day. Unfortunately, a week before the D-day, we prepared for the Paskibra’s Diklat and I have to prepared the National Selection of YES. Because of that sudden change, we spent a night to made the 80% of the Mading, and we didn't sleep at all. How was the end? We lose.

•       Paskibra’s Competition

In September 2013, our Paskibra joined the competition of Paskibra in Polinema. We have prepared it well enough. We've made the formation and the yells, we practiced everyday, every night, every time. We practiced a lot. Until I felt like my feet was tired and sick, a lot. On the D-day, we performed at the 3^rd. But some accidents happened at that time. We hoped that we could win the competition. And, finally we got the 3^rd positions. Unfortunately, they just pick the 2 winner and the best Danton. Our team got less 3 points than the 2^nd winner. How pity we are.

Resolutions?

2013 flew. 2014 is the new. Let the past just passed, learn the thing that good enough. Often, a new year could be the reason to be the better one. For me myself, it's no need a new year to have resolutions. But what we want to do, what we want to achieve, should be hang in front of our heads. So that we can always remember to get it. As it is a new year, new life,  and new page, so it's good to rearrange what we want to achieve this year and the next year. So, check out my resolutions.

What’s my next plans, dreams, hopes, and resolutions?

• Really go to USA

As the candidate of YES, I really hope that I could go to USA. As we know, I am the "candidate". So, one day there will be a possibility that I wouldn't get school or host-family there. I really hope that I could go there. Because studying overseas is one of my biggest dream.

• Get the 10 best rank AGAIN

I hope that the rank I got last year isn't just a fortune. I hope I could be one of the 10 best rank, again. Even, I hope that I will get better than last one. Amin.

• Accepted in UNAIR with scholarship

Since I was junior high school, I want to be a doctor. Helping other people, help the commnity, help a sick person. Thats my dream. As time go by, as I knew Airlangga University, I really hope that I could enter that college, more over with scholarship like now. Even though that my parents disagree with my choice, caused by the college's cost, I will show them that I can. I hope.....

• Become the Obstetrician

If I accepted in UNAIR, I hope that I could continue my study to the Obstetry and Ginecology. And I hope I can be accepted in the hospital, and work as an obstetrician. It's my big hope.

• Winning some competitions

When I saw my friends around me, they such an amazing creatures. They got this, they got that, they got a tremendous achievement, they won this, they won that. I want to join some competition, but I still confused what should I compete to? But I hope that I will join competitions, and win that.

• Apply the 7 Habits well

By knowing the 7 Habits lesson,I really hope that I can apply the habits into my daily life. Be Proactive, Begin in the End in Mind, Put First Thing First, etc. I believe that this life will be easier if I can manage everything well, by applying the 7 Habits.

Well, they are my reflections and my resolutions. I hope in the new year, I can recharge my spirit, rearrange the dreams well, and renew the pages that full with the past's scratches. This is it, 2013 Flew 2014 Is The New.
