A Child Storybook: Arthur's Nose

The snow was falling down, the temperature was getting cold. Hopskotch Town was magic-famous area in that century. In the middle of the winter season, there was a rabbit family lived in that place. Mr. Albus, was the head of that rabbit family. He is fat and short. His wife, Mrs. Ginny was totally different. She is tall, thin, and have a wide smile. Mr. Albus and Mrs. Ginny had a little boy, called Arthur. Just like his father, Arthur is fat and short rabbit. He had a chubby cheeks and blue handsome eyes. Arthur is the one and only boy rabbit in the Galaxy complex. All of the girls from over the Galaxy complex like him.

With no boy friends in the complex, Arthur frustrated enough. Fortunately, he had his best friend on the neighbor complex. His best friend is Nick. On the coldest Saturday, Arthur invited Nick to come to his house. At 10 AM, Nick came and sat beside Arthur in the living room. Mrs. Ginny welcomed Nick and brought 2 cups of hot chocolate.

“Hai Nick, long time no see. How are you?” Mrs. Ginny asked.

“Hai Mrs. Ginny, I am fine thank you. Oh, is that cups of hot chocolate? I hope so.” Nick answered.

“Yes, it is. I knew that you will come today, Arthur told me. Then, I made it because I knew that you are totally love it.” said Mrs. Ginny.

“Ah thank you so much Mrs. Ginny, I love you so much” said Nick.

Then, Arthur and Nick enjoyed their hot chocolate.

“Nick, have you ever heard a magic mushroom?” Arthur asked.

“Err, I ever heard it. Is that a mushroom that always change its color whatever you want at 6 PM?” Nick answered.

“Yeah, totally right. Don’t you want to come there?” said Arthur.

“Err, maybe. But I am afraid.”

“That’s ok. Don’t worry about that, I have some ideas”, Arthur answered.

They walked on the Galaxy main street. Arthur said to his mom that Arthur and Nick will go to the playground in the middle of the Hopskotch City. They walked toward the forest, which is located in the corner of the city. When they arrived in the forest, the clock showed that it was 3 PM. They walked around and try to find the magic mushroom.

While on the other Hopskotch, there lived a witch ugly. He was once a very beautiful queen rabbit, has a sharp nose, who was cursed by a beggar because of his greed for wealth. He lived in a dark cave in the forest near the magic mushroom. He was concocting a poisonous potion for the beggar. He gave an incantation to the mix. Shortly thereafter, the ugly witch out of his cave to carry out her mission.

Arthur and Nick still had not found the magic mushroom. They already walk around the forest, and no results. When they arrived at the lakeside, they found a fresh red apple which is tempting them so much. After dividing into two, Arthur who was very hungry instantly devoured it. A split second after eating, Arthur’s nose was suddenly elongated. Nick was shocked, and dropped the apple. Arthur’s nose became longer! They were shouting hysterically on the shores of the lake. The old witch was heard screaming little rabbits near the lake. After seeing Arthur and Nick, the old witch shocked too.

"Hey stupid rabbit! That was poisoned apple, I put for the poor beggar. Why did you eat it? Ha?”

 “I,,I,,I am sorry Ma’am. I I was very hungry, and eventually eat it.” Arthur said. “How did my nose become longer? I don’t want it, I don’t want, I hate it. Give me back my nose, noooooo!!”

“That’s your fault, stupid rabbit. That’s your consequences becoming a fool rabbit” the witch answered.

“No Ma’am, give him back her nose, now!” Nick said with scared.

“What in the world is it? Is it your tantrum to me, then you made a poisoned apple? What a cruel old witch!” the beggar came in the middle of the conversations.

 “Hey rabbit, are you okay? Let me bring you into the city. Go home now!” the beggar said.

Arthur, Nick and the beggar walked away from the forest. Arthur cried all the way he walked, he tried to pull her nose out, and hit his nose. Then Arthur won’t to walk, and sit on the ground.

 Suddenly, the beautiful fairy flew, and came in front of Arthur. She asked to Arthur, why did he cry all the way, and why did her nose longer than before. Arthur did not answer the fairy’s question, and continued his crying.

“He ate a poisoned apple by the witch! Please help him!” the beggar said.

“Please help him, beautiful fairy. We need you!” Nick said.

“Hmm, I doubt myself if I can help you guys. Sorry, I have to go,,,” the fairy answered.

The fairy flew away sadly. Seconds after that, Arthur screamed, and gripped the fairy’s leg.

“Please help me. I don’t want to come back home with this weird nose”, said Arthur.

“Hmm, okay I will try as I can”, answered the fairy.

  

  

“Close your eyes guys, please!” the fairy asked them to close their eyes. The fairy waved his wand. And,,,,,,,,,,nothing happened! She tried again, again, and once again. She failed. In her 10^th trying, she waved her wand, and,,,,, TADAAA. Arthur’s nose became the usual nose. They opened their eyes and hugged the fairy.

“Thanks beautiful fairy! Thank you so much!”, Arthur and Nick said in the same time.

“That’s okay rabbits, be careful next time. You rabbits, go home now. Your parents are waiting for you now”, answered the fairy.

Arthur and Nick went home, and separated with the beggar. Arthur and Nick cancelled their plan to find the magic mushroom.

When they arrived in Arthur’s house, Mrs. Ginny were waiting for them. Arthur said that they got lost in the middle of the Hopskotch. They came into the living room. Mrs. Ginny made them cups of hot chocolate and carrot cookies.

“Ssssst, Nick! Don’t say anything about my nose. This is a secret. Don’t tell anyone, anyone. Okay? Promise?” said Arthur

“Okay, that was our incredible experiences. Your nose is our secret, I promise”, answered Nick.

Then the Arthur’s long nose never came back, and he kept his secret forever after.
